What I learned from my Mother

Stand up straight! Comb your hair! Put on a nice shirt!
Work hard! Hard work is its own reward!
Your family is everything! Love them with all your heart!
They honor you with their love!
Education is life itself.
Culture matters! Billie Holiday and Sidney Bechet
and Tennesee Williams were the greatest artists
of the 20th century. Picasso was pretty good too!
Birds and flowers are prayers.
Good taste is a necessity!
There is nothing compares to a beautifully set table with family around it.
Be sympathetic!
There is something called true love and his name was Bobby Plotkin!
Sacrifice everything for your children!
Show them tenderness.
Trust your instincts!
Obligation is a mitzvah.
Don’t talk with your mouthful!
It’s ok to be nervous, sometimes we all act like meshugannahs!
There is no shame in psychotherapy.
The jewish religion is food!
Take care of your sick loved ones no matter what the cost.
Always go to New York City teaching hospitals and Doctors!
“Gay Kocken!”
You can accomplish anything you wish to accomplish!
You are loved, cherished, supported, advised, listened to and respected
without reservation.
No matter how badly your child really really really screws up,
tomorrow is another day!
